Moving Milton Forward

Milton is growing quickly, and we need thoughtful leadership to keep pace. As your next Regional Councillor, my priorities would focus on protecting the services residents rely on, planning responsibly for the future, and making practical investments that keep Milton a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Results Delivered

Strong communities are built through action. Over the past four years, I've worked with my Council colleagues to deliver practical improvements that make everyday life better for Milton residents, from investing in public safety and transit to improving traffic safety, parking, and access to library services. Here are some of the results we've achieved together.

Improvements to Fire Safety

I have supported the significant investments in fire safety by hiring more than 30 full-time firefighters and fire officers, adding a new pumper truck to the fleet, and investing in new technology to improve emergency response times.

Better Parking Options

Parking has been a major concern of Ward 4 residents! In the last 4 years, I have advocated to make parking easier for residents by increasing annual parking exceptions from 18 to 25 days per vehicle. I also advocated for the Transitional Neighbourhood Parking Strategy, which created more than 400 additional parking spaces in municipal lots.

Investment in Transit

Milton's transit service needed to be better.  I have advocated for and supported improved transit with the introduction of Sunday service, additional bus routes, more buses on the road, and increased service frequency to better connect residents across Milton.

Improved Library Services

Library services are now accessible within Ward 4! I successfully advocated for expanded library services with the introduction of convenient self-serve hold lockers at the Milton Sports Centre and the Mattamy National Cycling Centre (Velodrome), making it easier for residents to pick up and return library materials closer to home.

Improved Traffic Safety

To help make neighbourhoods safer, I advocated for additional school crossing guards, the installation of raised crosswalks, and the implementation of 40 km/h speed limits in residential neighbourhoods to better protect our community.

Multi-Year Fiscal Planning:

I advocated for regular financially-focused workshop activity during this term of Council and development of a detailed multi-year financial strategy for the Town. This approach allows the Town to plan for economic uncertainty as well as the variance in funding from other levels of government.
