Working Hard for Milton
Over the past four years, I've worked to be a visible advocate for community safety and quality of life in Milton. Through local news interviews and council initiatives, I've pushed for stronger action on e-scooter safety, promoted traffic-calming measures such as the annual Slow Down sign campaign, and supported investments in community spaces like the Milton Public Library. By listening to residents and addressing everyday concerns, I've worked to be a consistent voice on the issues that matter most to Milton's growing community.

Milton freezes youth swimming lesson fees as recreation costs rise
Milton is freezing fees for several youth swimming programs through September 2027, helping keep swimming lessons accessible for local families as recreation costs continue to rise. Sarah Marshall supported the initiative, highlighting the importance of affordable access to swimming and water safety programs for Milton’s youth.

Milton Public Library receives $25K for seniors music therapy program
The Milton Public Library has received a $25,000 Ontario Seniors Community Grant to launch Harmony for Healing, a music therapy program for older adults. Running from August 2026 to March 2027, the initiative will offer weekly sessions aimed at reducing social isolation and supporting seniors' mental and emotional well-being.

Calls grow for action on
e-scooters in Milton
Concerns over e-scooter safety are growing in Milton after a petition, sparked by a near-miss involving a toddler, gathered more than 1,000 signatures. Residents are calling for better education and stronger enforcement as reports of e-scooter collisions increase, while town officials say any changes will require coordination with Halton Region and police.

Community Clean-Up Initiative
Sarah partnered with residents to organize a community clean-up that brought volunteers together to help keep Milton's parks, trails, and neighbourhoods clean. The initiative encouraged civic pride, environmental stewardship, and community involvement, demonstrating that small actions can make a big difference when neighbours work together.

Investing in Milton's Seniors
Sarah supported investments in the Milton Seniors' Activity Centre to help ensure older adults have access to high-quality programs, services, and gathering spaces. By enhancing recreational opportunities and community facilities, she has worked to help seniors stay active, connected, and engaged while continuing to build an age-friendly Milton for everyone.

Milton's Library Lockers
Milton's library services are expanding to serve an area of town that doesn't yet have its own physical branch. Library lockers have been placed in two popular locations in ward 4 to help residents access holds, check out a new book or return one. The official unveiling happened at the Milton sports centre.

Milton neighbourhood welcomes back crossing guard
Students and families in a Milton neighbourhood are once again being greeted by a familiar crossing guard after concerns from residents led to her return. The decision has been welcomed by parents, who say the crossing guard plays an important role in keeping children safe and providing peace of mind during the school commute.
